Coach & Recruiting Coordinator
Kaitlin Jahn enters her fifteenth season as the head volleyball coach at Chiles High School. In 2016, Coach Jahn was selected to the prestigious America Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Thirty Under 30 List. This award was created to honor thirty of the up-and-coming college and high school volleyball coaches under 30 years old in America. Out of the 30 coaches selected, Coach Jahn was one of three coaches that did not coach at the colligate level.
In the spring, Coach Jahn is the head coach of the Chiles Beach Volleyball Team. She served as the chairman of the league and was honored nationally in an article by Athletic Management Magazine for the success of her program and the dedication of area coaches who are establishing high school beach volleyball teams.
Coach Jahn is a native of Tallahassee and an active member of the volleyball community. During her high school career, she was a four-year letterman on the Chiles High School Varsity Volleyball team. She also played six years of club volleyball, and in 2002, qualified to play in the Junior Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. After her high school career, she earned a scholarship and played under Hall of Fame Coach and Florida Region Chairman, Mary Andrew. While in Jacksonville, she was a first team all-conference selection and broke multiple school records. She also began her coaching career with the Jacksonville Juniors Volleyball Association.
After lettering for two years under Coach Mary Andrew, she moved back to Tallahassee and continued her education at Florida State University. While living in Tallahassee she has coached numerous club teams including some of the most elite players in the tri-state area. During the high school off season, Coach Jahn has led multiple teams to qualify for the USVA Girls Junior National Championships who competed on the national stage, most recently in 2022. She currently coaches club volleyball at Prostyle Volleyball Academy and serves as the Recruiting Coordinator for the club.
Coach Jahn graduated with her bachelor's degree from Florida State University in April 2008, double majoring in Family and Child Sciences and Secondary Education. She is certified to teach High school science, math and physical education. She started her teaching career at Deerlake Middle School (2008-2010) and is currently teaching Earth and Space Science and Biology at Chiles. Coach Jahn earned her master's degree in educational leadership/administration in December 2011.
In 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2022 & 2023 she was named the Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA) Coach of the Year. Jahn was also selected in 2013 and 2023 as the All Big Bend Coach of the Year and lead her team to a appearance in the State Championship Final Four in 2023. In addition to a record-breaking season in 2014, she was named the Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA) Coach of the Year and was selected to coach the North Team in the Florida High School All-Star game. In the spring of 2019 and 2023, Coach DiLuzio lead the Beach Volleyball Team to a league championship and she also celebrated her 250th career win as the Timberwolves head coach in 2022.
In the school’s twenty-three-year history, Coach Jahn is the first alumnus to serve as the head coach of an athletic team.
